With a unique blend of grace and fire, Virginia brings a soulful intensity to every performance. Fluid, with subtle nuances and a playful flirtatiousness, she embraces the feminine spirit. Her authentic interpretation and internalization of exotic rhythms and mystical melodies, captures the true “essence” of Oriental dance. A powerful and exciting performer, a motivational and articulate instructor, Virginia has enchanted audiences around the world with her dynamic and soulful interpretation of Oriental Dance.

In 2000 Virginia founded C.O.M.E. Dance, Coalition
of Middle Eastern Dance & Arts, an educational organization dedicated to excellence in performance and instruction of Middle Eastern Dance & Arts. It's goal is to create a great appreciation and understanding of this extraordinary art form and culture with quality performances and productions, and through intensive dance study programs.


Highlights

Virginia is the recipient of the Giza Award for Traditional Solo Dance to Live Music (2003). Virginia has recently performed with the widely enjoyed Egyptian performer Dina, has danced for the Saudi Arabian Royal Family , toured with the reknowned Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar , and has been featured in film, television, newspaper, and theatre around the world including MTV. The renowned Cirque de Soleil sought her out to audition for their performing company. She has entertained sold-out audiences at all five of her Middle Eastern dance productions in Miami:

Echoes of Cairo, Odalisca Oriental, Cairo Cabaret , “Egyptia” , and Amal Hayati . These have featured her professional performing company Virginia Wa Nour Al Ayun and her Ensembles along with Master Performers."

Teaching topic is dancing to live music. Virginia focuses this class on dancing to the classical music of the legendary Um Kalthoum as well as lecture and history alon with translations.

Meet and greet Virginia and learn the latest on the international dance scene and dancers secrets.
